Junior Database Application Developer

Junior Database Application Developer is an entry level position, and will be assigned tasks within a project and their progress closely monitored. Database Developers perform tasks that involve construction, documentation, installation or maintenance of database systems, and provide two levels of support to K&F projects. 

First, they develop in-house tools and products used to perform forensic analysis.  These tools range from simple add-ons that complement purchased licenses of commercially available forensic tools up to enterprise level applications that fully support K&F projects.

Second, they analyze data and software applications produced by opposing parties in K&F projects.  Although software analysis typically involves review and evaluation of application source code, it is also possible that application development skills will be required to actually test software behavior.  With respect to analysis of data, application develop of auditing applications is common.

Ideal candidates should possess:

  • Educational Requirements
    • Bachelors degree, business, information systems or computer science preferred.
  • Design skills
    • Familiarity with RAD concepts
    • Familiarity with OOD concepts
    • Familiarity with Database design concepts and normalization
    • Basic knowledge of computer networking including IP/TCP
  • Construction and Implementation skills
    • Prior programming exposure in SQL,
    • C# and .NET Framework,
    • Basic knowledge of OOP
  • Other attributes
    • Able to travel when required,
    • Able to work effectively in teams or alone,
    • Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing,
    • Excellent presentation skills,
    • Disciplined self starter
