Lists can be used to communicate the contents of an object such as an e-mail store, or hard drive file system.  In addition, lists are used when conducting analysis of usage and trend.

The K&F List Viewer provides spreadsheet functionality for both small and large lists, but with several advantages over traditional spreadsheets.

• It runs on any Windows based system from 98 to Vista.
• It is completely stand-alone.  So, no installation of application programs is necessary.
• Easily handles lists of 500,000 items or more.  So, no need to split results over multiple tabs.

The Viewer’s features include

• Single column and nested column sorting.  Simply click on the column title to switch between ascending or descending order.
• Single column or nested column filtering.  Select a value from the column title drop down box or define your own custom filter.
• Single column or nested column grouping.  Drag one or more columns to the group-by bar to cluster like values.
• Change column order by dragging them into the desired position.
• Expand column widths for desired presentation.
• Export the entire list contents or only the contents displayed after filters are applied.
• Export formats include CSV, TSV, and XLS.
• Preconfigured for list formats exported from widely used forensic packages such as EnCase, FTK, and Net Analysis.
• Accepts user defined list formats.
